What do we do if it rains?

Most people want to be outside to enjoy the outdoors because its the OBX. The event tent is meant to provide shelter even in the worst of weather conditions, from downpours to wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Typically, if we knew the weather was going to be inclement about a week out, we would arrange to add more tent sides to provide more shelter. Having a beach wedding lends itself to a myriad of weather conditions from sun, wind and rain and not always an ideal amount of each. We’ve experienced it all and know how to plan accordingly to ensure the best possible outcome We’ll take care of you and the details. Often times, a rainy forecast in the OBX means a chance of rain with a spotted rain cloud traveling by. However, we cannot control the weather as much as we wish we could.

Can I have my rehearsal dinner at Pelican’s Landing?

Yes, the large deck on the 2nd floor is perfect for hosting a formal to informal dinner for 40. If you plan to have an event

One block north of  Pelican’s Landing is the cross street of Bonito St, where a large parking lot at Whalehead Drive and Bonito Street easily accommodates 50 vehicles. In addition, there’s another parking lot one block south at Whalehead Drive and Sailfish Street. Guest drop-off can easily be pre-planned, as can valet parking. Six-passenger golf carts are also  available to rent for the day to shuttle drivers between the house and the parking lot. Parking on the street is not permitted and subject to ticketing.
Nearby parking lots are a great Pelican’s Landing feature undervalued by many couples. Many other event homes do not have parking, so a shuttle service is required and an additional budget item. This alone could cost you an additional $1,500.
